Ms. Sommons popped out of the kitchen and immediately said, “Kya, come to Auntie He has been holding you for hours

Kya seemed more energetic after waking up, and Charlie’s tone softened
“Wight, the food is nearly ready. I’ll bring it over soon, Ms. Simmons responded before turning back to the kitchen

“Kya?” Kya replied, nodding her head. Her seriousness made her look exceptionally adorable
Ms. Simmons chuckled, “Kya, it’s time to eat.”
Charlie didn’t really have anything else to ask her and he camed her towards the dining room,
The dining room was small and Charlie’s tall figure looked particularly conspicuous.
Ms. Simmons took Kya from Charlie and set her down on her high chair, smiling. “This is all Kya’s favorite food. What do you want to eat first?”
Kya took the spoon and looked at Charlie, Feed me”
Charlie sat down and laughed, “Alright, I’ll feed your
Ms. Simmons frowned. “Sic Kya usually eats by herself. You’ll spoil her if you keep this up!”
Charlie replied. “She’s sick, so some special treatment is necessary. It’s fine, you can go do your things, il feed her
Seeing his determination, Ms. Simmons didn’t say anything more and retumed to the kitchen.
Charlie patiently fed Kya, feeling satisfied as he watched her eat heartily

By the time they finished, it was already half past four Ms. Simmons said. “Sic you’ve spent the entire aftemoon with Kya. Now that her fever’s gone, you can get back to your business”
Charlie had a meeting in the afternoon which he had already postponed by two hours. His personal secretary kept calling him.
He nodded, took out a piece of paper and wrote down his private number for Ms. Simmons, If anything comes up, you can call me. I can come over anytime” “Alright!” Ms. Simmons took the note and quickly responded.
Kya was reluctant to let Charlie go. He promised to visit her again the next day, and only then did she wave him goodbye. Don’t forget to come see me?”
As he was entering the elevator Charlie looked back and saw Kya still standing at the door, watching him. Her round, dark eye, full of anticipation, made him feel as

He shook his head, finding the idea ridiculous. He avoided Kya’s gaze and stepped into the elevator.
In the evening, when Emily came home, Kya immediately told her, “Mommy, the mister came to see me again!”.
Emily turned to Ms. Simmons, “Mister?”
Ms. Simmons was ready to leave for the day, she laughed and replied. “The gentleman we met at the hospital yesterday”
