“Maureen, give it a second thought. Ian is already abroad now, and you’ve seen his current state. He’s not fit to be the CEO of the Raymond Corporation anymore.” 

Dennis said, adjusting his clothes and maintaining a smile on his face. 

“I’ll negotiate with Dad. Once he agreed, your shares will be just the icing on the cake for me. The terms I will offer then won’t be as good as they are now.” 

The nature of humanity was selfish. 

Despite Maureen’s considerations for lan, she had to take into account her future position in the Raymond family.

Maja looked at this woman’s face and felt extremely disgusted.

The man noticed her gaze, smirking again, leaving his phone number, and then got up and left.

Her phone rang. It was Maja calling. 

She quickly answered. “Mr. Pennyfeather.” 

Maja breathed a sigh of relief when she heard her answer. 

“You didn’t come to work today. I was worried. I just went to see Murray, and his mother said you owe him $300,000. If you don’t have it, I can lend it to you.” 

“No need, I’ve already borrowed from a friend. Mr. Pennyfeather, I’m sorry, I had a fever last night so that I couldn’t come to work.” 

“Is it serious? Then you can resttoday. Get well soon.”

After hanging up the phone, Zoey didn’t dare to look at herself in the mirror but started to vomit.
