Maja had no choice but to agree. She was starving, and her stomach was aching. She needed to eat something, as she had expended too much energy today.
lan was somewhat worried about her, so he asked a servant to bring dinner and then reluctantly left.

Everyone knew what had happened to Connie and were silent.
If word got out, it would have a huge impact on Connie’s reputation.
Maureen Raymond sighed, “Why would Connie suddenly want to go there?”
lan shook his head, “No one will know about this after the kidnapper is dead. I’ll get her a psychologist.”
It’s the best they could do.
Soon, Connie’s parents arrived.
Their faces were expressionless.
lan had always known that Dennis Raymond was much more difficult to deal with than Carl Raymond. He had been dedicated to the Raymond family over the years without any fault.

Pearson Raymond had been abroad for most of the years. Connie was the one who was spoiled at home.
No one knew what Dennis was planning.
Now that Pearson was coming back, Carl’s family might also take action.
“You decide.”
“Can Pearson join the Raymond Corporation?”

“I’ll go first.”
The one who cared the most about Connie was Maureen. As a woman herself, she had watched Connie grow up.
Meanwhile, in the ward, Connie was immersed in a nightmare.

“Maja, I hate you. How could you abandon me. You did it on purpose. You wanted to take revenge on me, didn’t you? I hate you, I hate you.”
Her hands were tightly clutching the bedsheet.

Maureen happened to hear this when the doctor came in.
“Connie, what are you saying?”
She slowly approached and gently leaned over.
Maja, I hate you. It’s all your fault. If you had taken me with you, none of this would have happened.”
The person immersed in the nightmare spoke very quickly.
It took a lot of effort for Maureen to make out the name “Maja.”
Why would Connie think that Maja was to blame? Was Maja at the scene, too?
But all these questions could only be answered when Connie woke up.
