Everyone around knew who he was. He was just bossing the cops around. Even Steve got a call from higher–ups. 

So, this guy’s safety was more important than anyone else on the scene. 

“Mr. Raymond, they’ve got it covered. Your safety is the priority.” 

But lan wasn’t having any of it, already shrugging off his suit. 

Seeing him ignoring their pleas, everyone was getting antsy. 

lan held a gun, his tone casual. 

“If anything happens to me, it’s none of your business.” 

Time was of the essence, and they couldn’t afford to delay. Even if the 15th floor was empty just moments ago, could it still be? 

They didn’t dare to take the risk, so they hurriedly climbed up the pipelines to the 15th floor while there was no new information.

She was frightened and immediately hid under the table. A pair of feet walked past her. It was clear that the person was heading towards the window. 

If he saw the men climbing up and reported to the other kidnappers, none of them on the pipeline would survive. 

Maja’s heart pounded. She quickly crawled out from under the table, deliberately revealing herself to the kidnapper’s sight, and then ran towards the corridor. 

The kidnapper heard her and immediately turned around. 

“Freeze!” 

He also ran out, but he couldn’t see any trace of Maja in the corridor. He hastily opened the other doors on this floor.
