He let go of her, unable to resist rubbing his throbbing temples.
“Go to the rooftop,” Maja blurted out.
Unkindly, lan grabbed her and ushered her into the lift.
Upon reaching the rooftop, he noticed the slightly ajar door and the doorknob on the floor, his brows creasing.
He kicked the door open with his foot to an empty room.
He settled Maja on the couch, checking each room to ensure it was empty, then walked to the door and picked up the fallen doorknob.
Clearly, it had been forced open.
He casually dragged a shoe cabinet to block the door, then turned to look at her.
Maja sat on the sofa, shoes missing, revealing a pair of white socks.
The socks had become dirty from their journey.
He approached and sat next to her, taking off her socks.
She seemed to accept her fear, her toes curling and retreating a little.
lan tossed the socks into a nearby trash bin, “Do you have a first aid kit in the room?”
Maja nodded, silently pointing out a cabinet.

He fetched the first aid kit and laid out the necessary medicines on the coffee table, checking each one’s expiration date. After confirming they were still usable, he squeezed some ointment onto his fingers.
Pulling her hair aside with one hand, he gently applied the ointment on her swollen cheek with the other.
The sudden familiar scent left Maja’s mind in chaos.
His fingertips slowly spread the ointment on her cheek.
It felt ticklish.
Painful and ticklish.
Seemingly, his breathing slowed down. After applying the ointment, he tucked her hair behind ear.
Maja lowered her head uncomfortably, hearing him ask, “Who did this?”
“Nolan.”
She had just sent him the recording, not expecting such a furious reaction.
It was indeed a lesson learned.
lan’s hand paused mid–air, his brows slightly furrowed.
But he said nothing, only revealing her forehead and starting to treat the wound.
He was already tall, his actions now casting Maja in his shadow.
This pressure made every cell in her body tremble.
With one finger, lan gently lifted her chin to get a clearer view of the wound on her forehead.
Seeing her eyes closed, not daring to look at him, even her eyelashes trembling, his finger slightly stiffened.
They had been intimately close before, but this time was different.
His gaze fell on her slightly pursed lips.
Her lips were beautiful. When she was wronged, she would purse her lips, looking rather pitiful.\
The thought of her being wronged ignited an uncontrollable rage within him..
The scene in the lift was deeply etched in his mind.

“Mr. Raymond, are you done?” Maja still had her eyes closed, her chin lifted by him. She could only slightly tilt her head.
From this angle, her face seemed to be illuminated by the light. Despite her current disheveled state, he was still captivated by her.
His throat moved, but he remained silent.
His fingers were still on her forehead. He could clearly feel her sweating.
If he continued like this, he would get worked up again.

“Go take a shower, you’re filthy”
He let go of her and moved to sit aside.
Embarrassed, Maja lowered her head, hurriedly fetched a nightgown from the bedroom, and entered the bathroom.
lan heard the sound of running water from the bathroom, but his body was heating up.
However, he remembered to take out his phone and call Jeff.
“Handle Nolan. Skyrim Film Academy’s Nolan. I don’t want to see him again.”
Jeff was taken aback as The Raymond Corporation was currently collaborating with Nolan. They were preparing a script. If anything happened to Nolan, all the efforts made for the script would be in vain.

But he didn’t say anything, and he knew his boss had his reasons.
The sound of running water stopped, and Maja, now in her nightgown, emerged from the bathroom.
lan saw her body enshrouded in mist, making him wonder if he had ever seen her in something more provocative,but he couldn’t remember.
He looked away, “Do you have a towel?”
Maja pointed towards the bathroom, nodding.
lan then went into the bathroom.
When he came out, he saw Maja sitting on the couch, behaving obediently.
While drying his hair, he sat down next to her, “Were you scared?”
She was rarely this quiet and well–behaved, like a lost soul.
He immediately thought that Nolan was a dead man.
He didn’t fully understand the situation, but at this moment, he wished he could personally deal with it.
He couldn’t stand seeing her like this!
It made him furious.
