Not long after, his subordinate came to report, “Sir, we’ve figured out that lan drove a big rig and smashed up Carl’s mansion. He killed two of Carl’s bodyguards right in front of him, then strutted off like it was nothing.” 

Dennis put down his cup. He was refined and polite, a stark contrast to Carl’s scheming demeanor. 

“So lan didn’t kill Carl?” 

It was unexpected. He thought Carl and his family would be wiped out by lan tonight. 

“He’s still alive, but apparently he was so scared he pissed his pants. Now he’s gone to Holden for help.” 

Going to Holden for help? 

Carl was the epitome of stupidity. The moment he went to Holden, Holden would find out about the dirty deeds he’d been doing behind his back. 

Besides, Holden admired lan’s wild spirit. If no one could control him, the Raymond family might be wiped out. 

That man knew nothing about family bonds. He was only pretending to be a gentleman because Holden was still around. 

If Holden were to die, there would probably be no one left to control this mad wolf. 

Compared to lan, Dennis preferred Eric Raymond. Eric’s gentleness was ingrained in him. 

Even though he might do hurtful things, his actions were at least within controllable limits. But lan seemed to be born to break rules and would never play by the book. 

He was the hardest to deal with. Unless he was absolutely sure, he wouldn’t make a move lightly. 

As expected, Carl changed his pants at his villa and hurried to see Holden. 

But he was stopped at the old house’s entrance. 

The butler looked at him with a smile and casually said, “Holden said he won’t see any guests from now on. You made your bed, now lie in it. If you choose to mess with a wolf, you have to face the consequences of being bitten.”

Carl was furious and helpless. He could only swallow his anger.

Carl shivered and left in frustration. 

lan laid Maja down on the hotel sofa. 

Maja curled up in pain, “Medicine.”

lan’s pupils contracted at the sight of the wet mark and the teeth imprint on his finger, and his breathing became heavier. 

He got a blanket from the side and put it over hér, turned up the air conditioner, then grabbed his own pajamas and headed for the shower. 

It was late.
