Maja was on the third deck of that cruise ship at that moment, getting hassled by some douchebag the moment she arrived. 

The guy was about to cop a feel, but she tried to dodge it, but he wouldn’t let up. 

After she managed to shake him off, she plopped down on a sofa and saw Carlene Shepard and a few other women approaching. 

She could feel an ominous vibe. 

Carlene seemed to pay her no mind. 

But Maja was dressed to kill tonight, attracting the attention of all the other women, one of them being Carlene’s good friend, Laura, who had just recently won a newcomer award. She was probably there all thanks to Carlene.

When Laura caught a glimpse of Maja’s dress, her eyes lit up, “Isn’t this the dress that just got showcased in a fashion show three days ago? There’s only one in the world, and it’s not even on sale yet!” 

Her words instantly caught the attention of the surrounding women. Women were always sensitive to the topic of clothes, especially, those women who often attended the fashion shows. 

So, the women who were initially at a distance, immediately flocked over only to realize they didn’t know Maja. 

Those celebs frequently attended such parties, knowing many influential people and socialites, but Maja was a face they hadn’t seen before. 

Someone whispered, “Do you think the dress is fake?” 

Wearing knockoffs at such a formal event would make her the laughingstock of everyone. 

Laura turned to Carlene and asked, “Carlene, do you know her?” 

Carlene scoffed internally, “I got no clue.” 

She had been worried for the past month that lan would find out about Maja. Each time she tried to set up a dinner date with him, he would turn her down, making her increasingly anxious.

The Shepard family had recently bought a plot of land for 180 million, and the new plan just went public.

Especially Carlene, she was livid.

Her breathing started to become rapid, but she had to hold it in, she would let Laura the bimbo deal with it later.
