Maja had just been scared shitless, but she’d calmed down now, her voice a little hoare.
“Mr. Raymond, are you happy now?”

He still had a tube of ointment in his hand. He looked up and asked, “What do you mean by that?”
“Mr. Raymond, isn’t this what you wanted? To see me embarrassed?” Her tone was cool again, and she had a faint smile on her face. “You got your wish.”
At that moment, she was curled up, her feet lightly arched, completely on guard
lan stood up, looking down at her from his high perch.
Only then did he notice that her neck was still a little red, as if she’d been scalded by something.
He’d wanted to blow up at her, but seeing her like this, his anger just evaporated.
lan tossed the ointment tube and said, “Take your medicine and get lost.”
Maja rose, got off the bed, picked up the ointment, and prepared to leave without a word.
As she got up, lan tensed up. Watching her put on her pants and straighten her jacket, he felt like his body was boiling, as if all the moisture inside him was being bumed away.
He abruptly pulled her back, reaching for the ointment to apply it to her.
But Maja misunderstood, thinking he was going to continue despite her injuries.
She’d finally had enough, and she slapped him.
All her strength was concentrated in her hand, knocking lan’s head to the side.
Blood trickled from the comer of his mouth, and the sound of the slap echoed through the room.
lan’s mind was buzzing he’d never been hit before, let alone by a woman.
He quietly wiped the blood from his mouth.

Danger flashed in his eyes, he looked like a beast let out of its cage.
lan grabbed Maja but saw her shrink back, her eyes filled with a resigned determination,

Realizing she was afraid of him, his fingers tightened around the back of her collar, a tremor running through them.
If it were other woman, he would have thrown her out by now
But at that moment, seeing that deep–seated emotion in her eyes, he felt a pain not in his cheek but somewhere in his heart.
It felt like being rubbed with a blunt knife.
lan’s cheek was visibly swelling, even his mouth tasted of blood.
He let her go, his voice full of threats.
“You’re really asking for it.”
With that, he grabbed his jacket and left, slamming the door behind him.
Maja had thought he would continue tormenting her after saying that, but hearing the sound of the front door closing, she realized he had left.
He just left?
Maja frowned, but she didn’t have time to worry about lan now. She picked up the ointment and applied it to herself.
After applying the ointment, she swallowed a few pills. She had intended to leave immediately, after all, this was tan’s room.
To her, lan was no different than the grim reaper,
But Maja was really tired, so she fell asleep as soon as she lay down on the bed.
When lan left, he was still in his pajamas, just grabbing a jacket.
When he got to the first floor, he was still extremely agitated. He sat on the couch, smoking.
But he felt a dull pain in his chest.
So he called the doctor again.
The doctor hadn’t gone far, and he came back immediately after receiving his call.
“Mr. Raymond.”
lan put the cigarette between his fingers. He didn’t plan to go back upstairs tonight. He was afraid of seeing Maja’s face, afraid she would make him so angry he’d
have a heart attack.
“Check me out, I don’t feel well, lan had a visible bruise on his face. “I’m feeling uncomfortable in the chest.”
The doctor was stunned for a moment, then quickly gave him a cursory examination.
“You’ve probably had a big emotional upheaval. You need to rest.”
So it was just a big emotional upheaval.
