Maja’s gaze turned icy 

She had never lived with her grandparents and only visited Crystalbrook Valley once when she was tiny with her mom. But because her mom passed away early, those memories were a bit fuzzy. 

However, what she did remember clearly from that visit was them swinging a broom at her and her mom. 

At that time, Neil had just made some money. 

Lillian was a dutiful person who believed that when you made money, you should give some to your parents, especially since they did raise Neil. 

Since Lillian and Daly’s parents had passed away, they had always been on good terms. 

But when they entered the door, her grandparents assumed they were there to beg for money. So before Lillian could even speak, they started swinging the broom at them.

Cristina just smiled and didn’t argue. She had purposely invited them over because the doctor had suddenly sent a message last night saying that there were signs of Neil waking up. 

If Neil really woke up, she would be done for. But the bodyguard Maja had hired was always guarding the ward door, not letting her in to visit. 

She had to get Maja busy first, so she could have the opportunity to kill Neil. 

Now that these two old people were here at the Pennyfeather family’s mansion, Maja should be too occupied to deal with them.
