When she got back, Daly and Susan were still sighing in the house. Olivia had returned by then, and upon hearing that Leo might have been imprisoned, she started chewing him out.
“I have no idea what I did to deserve this. Such a useless man, I just can’t take it anymore! Give me fifty grand, I want a divorce!”
Olivia put her hand on her hip and continued her tirade in front of them, her finger hovering dangerously close to their faces.
“Old men are useless. Young men are useless. Even trying act like someone else for a fight, what a joke! Who would want to spend their life with such a man? Give me the money. I want a divorce!”
Most of the money Susan and Daly had earned over the years went to Divia. During the years that Leo ran away from home, they hardly had any money, whatever they got, they gave her immediately.
Olivia spent money carelessly while complaining about Susan’s job.
At that moment, Susan realized her mistake and humbly said, “Oli, Leo might not necessarily go to jail. We can pay damages Isn’t this house about to be demolished? We’ll receive compensation then.”

Daly let out a sigh of relief, trembling as he pulled out a cigarette. That’s great.”
Meanwhile, Olivia rolled her eyes at Maja’s arrival.
“No matter what you two say this time, I’m getting a divorce. Give me fifty grand!”
Daly and Susan felt extremely awkward, particularly in front of Maja. It was embarrassing. Susan’s eyes immediately turned red
“Oli, you see, Leo won’t go to jail…”
“Even if he’s not in jail, he’s still a loser! I’d rather marry a dog than spend my life with such a man!”
Olivia angrily started smashing things around the house. “Give me fifty grand!”
Susan and Daly didn’t dare to stop her. Maja stepped forward and grabbed Olivia’s hand.
“Have you had enough?”
Olivia froze and raised her hand to slap Maja, but Maja promptly grabbed her wrist.
“I’m not someone you can mess with, I don’t need to put up with you. If you dare to hit me, I’ll hit you back ten times. Do you believe me?” Olivia looked furious, “Yes, you city people can’t take any grief. Is this how you treat your relatives? I’m still your cousin’s wife.”
Maja let go of her hand, ignoring her and turning to Daly
“She’s right. If she wants a divorce, let her Leo has done enough bad things over the years.”
Although Olivia wasn’t any better, Leo was clearly worse.
Daly didn’t agree. He and Susan both knew that Leo’s reputation was completely ruined. Plus, with the issue of Daly’s house, all the neighbors were talking about them. If Leo and Olivia got divorced, he definitely wouldn’t find a new wife.
“Oli, when this house is demolished, we’ll give you all the compensation, as long as you’re willing to stay. And if you have a child, we’ll help look
after it.”
A glint of hope showed in Olivia’s eyes. After the house was demolished, there should be a substantial amount of compensation, and after deducting what would be spent on Leo, there would still be some left.
Sensing her hesitation, Susan immediately spoke up. “When Daly retires, he’ll have a monthly pension of three hundred dollars. We’ll give all of it to you, and we won’t keep any of it, Oli. You might want to consider having a child,”
Maja watched the two of them, then looked at the hesitant Olivia, her lips twitching. It seemed that urging her to divorce was indeed asking for trouble.
“I’ll take your word for it. All the compensation and pension go to me.”
Daly and Susan both let out a sigh of relief. After saying some nice things to Olivia, they turned to Maja.
“Maja, we’ve really troubled you this time. About the compensation, did they say how much exactly?”
