Chapter 230
Everywhere she touched seemed to heat up:
His breathing lost its rhythm in an instant.
Maja was diligently applying the ointment, making sure not to miss any spots; then she picked up the bandage, ready to rewrap it But, just like before, she needed to lean in to tie the bandage, bringing them closer, close enough to feel each other’s breath.
lan turned his head away, his eyebrows slightly furrowed.
Maja knew he didn’t like being too close to the opposite sex, no she sped up her movements
When she was wrapping the last round, she let out a sigh of relief. But her breath sprayed onto lan’s skin, and his hand involuntarily moved backward.
“Mr. Raymond, we’re done,” she said.
Feeling a bit embarrassed, she was about to back away.
But she didn’t notice that lan’s hand was on the corner of the towel. So when she backed away, the towel was stuck and fell open
lan turned back only to find a towel covering his head.
Maja was in full panic mode, instinctively using the towel to block his view.
lan didn’t say a word, just swallowed.
“What on earth are you doing?” he asked.
Maja was completely naked at this point, and the towel on his face saved her from major embarrassment
But lan’s question made her body heat up.
She tried to act nonchalant. “My towel… you were holding it down.”
She was so terrified that she instinctively wanted to block his sight.
But now, she realized how inappropriate it was to cover his face with the towel she had wrapped around herself.
Her clothes were still in the bathroom, and she couldn’t put them on. She felt extremely embarrassed and wanted to hide somewhere. lan said nothing: he just took the towel off his head.
“Mr. Raymond, don’t….”
Maja felt incredibly embarrassed. She saw him close his eyes and hand her the towel
She froze, hearing his calm voice, “Don’t you want it?
Maja quickly grabbed the towel and wrapped herself again.
She felt as if the temperature around her had risen, and she was about to melt.
lan was very gentlemanly, closing his eyes and only hearing the sound of her hastily wrapping the towel around herself.
The scent of the body wash still lingered in his nose, like her sweet breath teasing him.
After Maja had finished wrapping herself, she couldn’t help but glance at him.
His eyes were still closed; his facial features were beautiful and immaculate.
His beauty was beyond words
Because she became quiet, lan guessed that she was done and opened his eyes.
Maja didn’t expect him to open his eyes suddenly, and their gazes met instantly.
She had been staring at his face in a daze. Although it was only for a few seconds, she now felt caught.
She quickly looked away, coughed awkwardly, and said, “We’re done, Mr. Raymond.”
What she meant was you can leave now.
But lan didn’t move. To him, this woman was glowing red all over her messy hair draped over her shoulders, her small face filled with unease, her eyes still as clear as that night.
Perhaps the rain outside was too loud; lan lowered his eyelids, stood up, and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear
Maja was so startled that she stopped breathing. Just when she was about to ask him what he was doing, a cool kiss slid down her earlobe.
Her pupils contracted slightly, and all she could feel was a blank in her mind, and all she could hear was the sound of the rain outside.
