“Yeah, I had an affair.”
Maja usually didn’t give a damn about other people’s personal stuff. But if it involved her husband, she was all ears.
Considering lan was her client for now, she had to play it cool to avoid pissing him off.
“I never thought Mr. Raymond would have a side chick. I’m curious about what she looks like.”
Then it hit her. Goosebumps rose on her scalp.
That mistress…
Could it be her?
Did lan get beaten up for her?
Her thoughts immediately went to Maureen. It was Maureen who had returned to the Raymond family mansion with lan.
If Maureen had blabbed too much and made Holden think lan was cheating on his wife, then this whole thing was indeed connected to her.
Seeing her expression, lan knew she got it.
She was sharp in daily life, but often clueless in matters of love.
Maja instantly felt uneasy. The more she thought about it, the more she felt she had to keep this secret.
Tan was seriously hurt this time and it would probably take a month to recover. If he knew his mistress was his wife in name, he would feel extremely wronged. Even with his good temper, he might settle scores after his recovery.
Maja hadn’t planned to stay and look after him. After all, being alone together could lead to some misunderstandings, especially in a hotel.

“Mr. Raymond, I’ll stay tonight.”

Maja immediately called Nathan on her cell phone.
She had to see this act through.
“Nathan, Mr. Raymond, who helped us before, is injured. I’m going to stay here tonight to take care of him. Don’t worry, I’ll be back first thing in the morning.” Her voice was soft, like a woman in a happy marriage.
Nathan was tutoring his disabled sister when he got the call.
Hearing her words, he instantly became alert.
“Alright. Be careful, I’ll pick you up tomorrow.”
Maja nodded.
Tomorrow was Saturday, and if Nathan said that, he must not have to work.
As long as she left the hotel with lan, lan would see Nathan, and that would clear up his doubts.
lan frowned as he saw her exchange words with the person on the other end of the phone.
Did she really have a husband?
Maja looked very relaxed after hanging up.
“My husband has agreed, Mr. Raymond.”
lan didn’t say anything. His heart suddenly felt heavy.
Maybe because the windows were closed, he felt a little suffocated.
He stood up and said, “you don’t need to stay, go home. Don’t worry your husband.”
Maja felt their conversation was a bit strange, but she insisted, “Mr. Raymond, I’ll sleep on the couch. If you need me in the middle of the night, call me.” Considering how far she had gone and the phone call she had just made, lan didn’t want to continue the conversation and went straight into his room.
Maja just leave Ian alone since you don’t want him to know that you’re his wife..why do you keep going to Ian…get a distance from him..
