Maja averted her gaze, not feeling any strong emotions. At most, like everyone else in Greenfield, she couldn’t help but adore this famous handsome couple from the entertainment world. 

But still, she felt that lan’s taste really sucked. 

Although she didn’t know much about Carlene, every word and action of Carlene’s suggested that she was a schemer. 

And he even kept a woman who loved him deeply by his side as a spy. Just for his sweetheart, he could actually bear it. Everyone was silent all the way, until they reached the first floor and stopped. 

Out of politeness, Maja lagged a bit behind them. 

lan walked out, followed by a few executives. 

Maja had originally planned to go directly to the studio, but she remembered the task her father had given her for tonight. She had to take lan to the Pennyfeather family. 

To tell the truth, given how much lan disliked her as his wife, even if she was suddenly critically ill, he wouldn’t visit her at the Pennyfeather’s, unless he was forced to do so by Holden. 

Maja was tired of playing this cat and mouse game with lan, but because of the contract, she had to keep up the act.

Maria meant well.
