Maja was out of it, but the pain was all too real, as was the never–ending hum of the car’s engine. The strong smell of gasoline in the car made her stomach sick, causing her to throw up non–stop The man’s voice echoed in her ears, she could even feel his hands moving over her body 

While the car was moving, the man didn’t dare to do anything else 

Not until the car came to a stop in an abandoned factory. It wasn’t far from the city, but the place was currently under demolition. It was deserted at night, with cold machinery parked on the roadside. Maja was dumped on the ground. When she groggily opened her eyes, she saw two fat and thin men standing in front of her. Their gazes were locked on her. 

“Damn, she’s a beauty. Never seen one this pretty” 

“You go first. After you’ve had your fill, I’ll have my turn.” 

The man patted his belly happily and eagerly stepped forward, grabbing one of Maja’s legs and dragging her towards him. 

Maja was too weak to resist. Her palms were scraped red by the gravel on the ground. 

The pain brought her back to her senses for a moment, and she quickly slapped him across the face. 

“Get lost“” 

She slapped the man. He was so angry that he grabbed her hair. 

“Seems like you’re itching for a fight!” 

He raised his hand and slapped her hard in return. 

Maja’s mouth filled with the taste of iron. 

The man’s hand was already on her collar, tearing her coat open. 

Maja opened her mouth to speak but couldn’t utter a word. She’d rather die if she were to be violated by such a man. 

Just as she was on the brink of despair, she heard the sound of a car and the man’s screams of pain. 

Despite the pain, she forced her eyes open, but all she saw was a black suit and a familiar scent.

Sweat was dripping from her forehead. She swallowed, hearing the sound of something heavy hitting the ground and the curses of the two men. 

But those curses soon turned into pleas for mercy. Maja was too weak to look. She just quickly picked up a rock and held it tightly in her hand. The sharp pain helped her clear her head a bit, and she saw 

who had come 

Her eyes flashed with surprise. She quickly realized that she must have dialed the wrong number. 

lan scopped her up and headed straight for the car. 

The two men had already been subdued. By now, they should realize that they had messed with the wrong guy. They were scared stiff, not daring to say a word. 

After Maja got in the car, she felt unbearably hot. 

But her previous experience at the hotel had been humiliating enough. All she could do now was curl up in the corner, leaning against the car window, hoping the coolness of the glass would help her cool, down. 

But the coolness was insignificant. 

The rock in her hand was small and sharp; she had already heated it up with her grip. The sharp edges cut into her palm, and blood started to flow. 

Ian didn’t really want to deal with her. After all, coming to her rescue was already him being more than generous. But hearing her soft whimpering and seeing her body stiffen, he couldn’t ignore it. Maja’s hand was hanging by her side, blood flowing from her palm onto the seat. 

lan glanced at it, took a handkerchief, and stuffed it into her hand. Then he took the phone that Jeff had handed him. 

The phone was Maja’s. It had fallen on the ground earlier but had now been picked up. 

He handed her the phone. 

“Call your husband.” 

Maja was a bit dizzy at the moment and didn’t quite catch what he said. She just looked up at him in a daze. 

lan took her uninjured hand and handed her the phone. 

“Call your husband. You need a man right now.” 

His voice was cold but calm.
