Because of the close distance, lan must have heard what Maja just sald
Maja felt a tad bit awkward, but when she remembered lan didn’t know that she was referring to him as her husband, a sigh of relief escaped her. She just fixed her gaze on his wound This was the wound he got from protecting her. She should show some concern.
“Mr. Raymond, how’s the wound doing?” she asked.
She put her phone away and then quickly walked over
Ryan stood behind Ian, mimicking Maja, “We both love each other very much… haha.” Ryan was a joker and after mimicking the phrase, he looked at Maja, laughing.
Maja knew her words had reached their ears, so she had to admit, “Sounds ridiculous, huh?”
Ryan was not interested in whether Maja was married or not. All he thought was that this usually cold woman to say such words, she must really love her husband.
He felt a pang of guilt remembering that he had asked Maja to pretend to be his girlfriend.
“Penny. I had you pretend to be my girlfriend, your husband isn’t mad, right?” he asked.” Maja chuckled, “Nah, he’s cool”
“You may not realize, but guys can get pretty picky about this kind of stuff,” said Ryan.
Maja didn’t want to dwell on this topic.
She turned her head to lan, “Your wound, why did it open up again?”
Ian looked at her, her eyebrows furrowed, seeming very worried about his wound.
When he didn’t respond, she went on, “Tonight, I’ll make you some soup that could help you heat.”
Ryan was a bit puzzled, “What’soup? Why would you make soup for him?”
Maja gave a simple explanation. Ryan laughed.
“In that case, you go with him to get his wound stitched up again, I’m going to hang out with my new girlfriend, bye.”
After saying this, Ryan ran fast.
Maja was left with no choice but to go to lan’s side.
lan looked at her unwillingness, a bit pissed, he scoffed. Wasn’t his wound due to protecting her?
He didn’t say anything else, just coldly stared at her.
But Maja didn’t pick up on his mood, or rather, she didn’t care, she just wanted to take care of his wound as soon as possible.
She went to the doctor and watched as the doctor re–stitched his wound. After it was done, she got some disinfectant.
The doctor reminded, “Mr. Raymond, the wound can’t open up again, or it’ll risk infection. Make sure to disinfect and change the bandage every five hours.” Realizing lan was busy, Maja set a reminder on her phone for five hours later!
“Mr. Raymond, I’ll send you a message then.”
She wanted to take care of lan, and she was now standing behind him, bending slightly as she spoke, her breath gently brushing against his ear.
lan stiffened, turning to glance at Maja..
Maja didn’t realize this action could be misinterpreted, she shook the disinfectant in her hand, a smile on her face.
“Let’s go, I’ll take you home.”
But when they reached the lobby, lan suddenly halted, as if he had forgotten something.
“The car keys.”
He reminded Maja, who immediately turned back to the elevator, “I’ll get them.”
lan didn’t have the chance to say that his phone was also there.
Maja returned to the room, immediately spotting the phone and car keys.
Just as she was about to pick them up, a new message flashed across the phone screen.
